I have never felt lack of testosterone in gay environments, its frankly the opposite. I live in the gayborhood and most men I see are fit as fuck if not totally brolic. Of course, this has nothing to do with “testosterone” but it is just so silly to say.
There was some research on the 70’s that found that gay men have less testosterone than straight men, but the sample sizes make the data worthless. Later research points in the direction of no difference, but most science on LGBT topics is dismal. There might be a difference in natal testosterone exposure (hence the digit ratio thing you sometimes see), but I’d be surprised if there’s good data on the topic.
