People need to start strategizing about the long game.

If national separation needs to happen in the future, it needs to occur in such a manner that both sides are geographically equalized (coastal access, natural resources, military assets, infrastructure).

Maybe it’s time for Florida and Texas to have some private planning conversations about establishing a united economic bloc to begin laying some of the foundational groundwork.

lol. If your brother draws the balkanizing line, then you get to pick which half. That way it’s the most fair.

More seriously, though, maybe US culture doesn’t have much of a mechanism for reconciling differences. Historically, we let free-real-estate act as a pressure release valve. Now that we don’t have that, nobody has any real fucking clue what to do or how to talk to each other.

I think we do have that. I think rather than real estate, it’s virtual space. The pressure valve is claiming online spaces and winning a virtual culture war. The new yeoman dream is that you become a content creator. All this AI slop is the “free” labor on which to build your dream. You can just generate slop for a multi-level marketing scam that recruits followers. You move up to become an influencer, with thousands below you. Each of them pay you tribute just to learn and be part of your success in the ops that it will rub off on them.
