The sooner they hire someone the less time they spend understaffed and the more they have to pay whoever the hire. It’s not a huge difference but it is also not zero.

It just won’t affect the company whatsoever.
When does a company decide to recruit? It’s when current employees can’t handle the workload and/or move projects ahead on schedule.
Not being recruited increases the hiring cycle time and means the development falls further behind schedule.
It’s not nothing.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do some people try to humanize the wealthy and people in positions of power?
11·7 天前Yeah we humanize them because it’s important to remember that essentially anyone that ends up in their position will behave similarly. They aren’t demons, they’re humans. We should stop putting people in their position.
I just assume there is some level of water in the ethanol part
Yes that’s where I was suspecting you could have taste altering salts.
Seems like ph sensor for alcohol would be expensive
I was just imagining pH strips.
I probably should evaporate the alcohol layer to see if I get any potassium carbonate back
that’s a good idea.

1·7 天前It seems like it’s just “where do you live?”, and “when are you out of town?”.
When you ignited it would potassium carbonate in the water in the alcohol have formed KOH? Maybe you could detect pH?
I mean getting it out of the alcohol, or maybe I mean getting it out of the water in the alcohol. I don’t think reclaiming the salt from the lower level is hard.
What worked for me was taking my meds the same moment I put on deoderant. That way I can double check whether I took them by smelling my armpit before I leave the house.

After decanting the alcohol can you precipitate out the salt?
Neat! I’d thought about doing this before so it’s cool to see you’ve done it. Although I would want to taste it. Surely it’s salty right?

Canada@lemmy.ca•New Quebec secularism bill to ban prayer in schools, restrict offering of religion-based meals
6·11 天前Way too far. I also support secularism in that I don’t believe that religions should be privileged above deeply held personal preferences. This is like religious persecution.

Canada@lemmy.ca•New Quebec secularism bill to ban prayer in schools, restrict offering of religion-based meals
4·11 天前The article says
The bill also seeks to ban public institutions from offering a diet exclusively based on a religious tradition
I mean I would expect that no meals are based exclusively on a religious tradition, usually it’s based on a combination of religious tradition and culinary art, or nutritional requirement.
