I cancelled after they removed comments, I wasn’t even paying for it when I went to check, my mom apparently had been for like a decade, she didn’t mind, but I had no plans on ever using it again without comments

couple forums and older ones have decent value, you can even sell suble ad like posts, didn’t see that til after my permaban, people will pay you money to post on your account with karma/age about their stuff lol, makes me really dislike that system more, like most new ppl cant even get help because they can’t comment/post in most subs.

I wish I could scroll it and get the daily dopamine but I forget about it, mostly just google searches these days, it used to keep me actively into my hobbies since I get distracted, but not being able to comment irked me so I stopped browsing the app (plus the fat red you are banned banner on every page)

I feel like I went through withdrawals, took like a month to get over it, now I rarely use reddit, not missing anything, just thought I was, I guess I do miss reddit from like 2015, but it was getting worse every year, one of my last posts months before my permaban was asking for alternatives. (It’s how I found lemmmy lol)

Reddit is also at a point where everything has been asked and is asked again weekly, i don’t really need to post/comment anything myself and my votes mean nothing because of the volume. Most of my comments would get lost in a void.

They always have mid apps, are the apps/infrastructure that hard to replicate by companies with this much funding? it always feels like some small team’s project straight out of college. They barely feel better than solo developed loops.

On cachyos gnome it wasn’t immediately obvious how to grab extensions and that they even existed, so at first I was like f this and immeidately swapped to kde, only used it out of necessity because the global menu had issues and it was faster/easier to install another de over reinstalling my os and grabbing my apps again. Then after googling I realized the extension store exists and now I love it, but yeah it was initially off putting, I didn’t have a gnome user around to tell me whats possible or a de with extensions already enabled to view.

kde would prob be a bit more intuitive/easier to customize for a kid, i do prefer gnome my self, I also use wobbly + burn my windows

eh got snapshot and backups on and off pc, if anything goes wrong ill survive and be ready to go in a minute or two, dejadups is lowkey annoyingly slow to load tho

i want AAA to mean more gameplay options, more horizontal and vertical progression, tired of the graphics focus, lost comsetic progression, elden ring at least brought it back

My plan is to buy less games, if anyone enjoys sandbox games, physics, etc. I recommend just spending a month learning blender instead, then it becomes funner than most “creative” games available.

Concepts great, think s@box’s sandbox mode will pull it off better for what I want, just a social sandbox that can be played flat/vr letting ppl make stuff in game and outside of it.

Vrchat has some interesting stuff forsure, got me interested in unity and blender, but most of my time there was spent solo trying out worlds/avatars, some ppl remade full game character with all their abilities using unity particles, was cool to learn and try to make anime attacks (i never tested them in vr, looked great on the preview on my monitor, terrible in vr, you need to use meshes)

to be fair, that is the whole point of the game, its competitive, i miss lightbikes on iphone, was a fun ripoff with new mechanics like 3d maps (multiple rotated planes lol), jumping, and boosting, added a lot to the game

armagettron was very fun over lan on school pcs back in highschool, i put it in the school directory so everyone could copy it over whenever lol
