Because they were very expensive and it’s nearly impossible to find other chumps who will buy them. They also stand out exactly like one would expect so even if you only have one or two in your city you’re going to see them every time they’re anywhere near you.

The NDP were right there. Any complaint against them doesn’t mean shit fuck-all when the people makong them voted for the Liberals, the party which brought us not changing how our elections work because they hugely benefit from how unfair they currently are.

In 2021, the NDP got over half the votes that the Liberals got. They have the support, they are a valid party, and unlike our two flavours of conservative party they at least try to make life better for us. Then you come along, and I think we’ve had this discussion before, and act like our only progressive option doesn’t even exist because it’s easier than accepting that you didn’t actually vote against conservatism, but instead you voted for it and against progress.

He’s attacked unions, fired tens of thousands of people, given huge benefits to O&G companies(many of whom are from the US), and when the first strikes on Iran happened the first thing he said was that Canada would unconditionally support the US. The Liberals are terrible for this country and have settled into being solidly right of center. The only thing making people believe they are right-wing is that they don’t openly hate gay people which isn’t a requirement to be conservative despite the fact that is so often included.

Vans are more lockable, there’s more space, you can just walk straight into them, they have much shorter hoods so that more of their length can be for storage than for just being long for the sake of it, and they are way more modifiable than people think. A work van is still body-on-frame so they’re perfectly capable towing vehicles to boot.

Trucks do one thing better, and that is having a bed that can be removed/taken up for more useful things like fifth-wheel hookups and towing rigs. I guess you can also maybe put a single haybale in there, but actual farmers who aren’t cosplaying don’t move their shit one bale at a time while pretending they’re Ford Tough™.

Your first comment clearly said that sometimes leaving a sector for one with more available jobs is necessary. To be honest, I don’t fully disagree, but it does make the reply to my comment a bit contrary.

Anyway, changing paths isn’t always so easy for a variety of factors, especially if you’re in a situation like myself where you get little to no feedback on why you aren’t getting hired. Spending time and money on official training that turns out wasn’t even the problem is only going to make the problem worse.

Hell, here in Canada, for sure I could consider gping into healthcare but also many provincial governments are crippling healthcare(they’re trying to break everything so it can be privatized) so it’s not really a great sounding idea. Logic and morality do not often apply to the job market, unfortunately, and that can leave a lot of people feeling completely out of control. You work to build up a career and then it disappears for no reason leavjng you to start over like you’re a teenager again except now no one will hire you because they say you’re going to expect too much.

I don’t fully blame them, as much as it’s a but of an extreme take. I’ve been out a job for two years. It shohld be easy enough and yet I can barely get a response and almost never get any feedback. Sometimes I get “you don’t have enough experience in this thing that only a firm like us can provide but fuck you.” And then the alternative is being told to go get exploited for minimum wage and disrespect? I did all this and now I just have to start at square one plus debt for even less money than I was getting before? And I’m good with my hands but I’m not getting a job without other experience, so I have next to nothing to go by.

Walmart used to, probably still does, use other stores as welfare generators for newer stores. The reason was/is because that means the new store can undercut all local competition long enough to drive them out of business and the jack the prices afterwards. Corporations focused so heavily on lying, cheating, and stealing do not do anything out of the good ess of their hearts.

Economies are strongest when small amojnts change hands often which is exactly the opposite of what the current concentration of wealth seeks to do. These are people who work and vote against minimum wage increases, unions, and who constantly push propaganda blaming the working class for spending money to deflect from the fact that they don’t pay enough.

It’s not “absurd” to say that the richest among us are trying to drain wealth out of the working class because it’s happening in broad daylight. We can all see it, they don’t give a shit about their employees. It’s to the point were every 4-day work-week experiment has been a success both for employee happiness and productivity but we still aren’t seeing that schedule being adopted.

The rich do not care about you, and if millions of the working class die they don’t give a shit. Slave plantations weren’t actually all that efficient but it didn’t matter because it the abuse was part of it.

You supported him making the Air Canada attendants’ strike illegal in an attempt to ignore their right to organize and to help the company continue to exploit them? You supported the firing of 40,000+ federal workers in a time of an already high unemployment rate and a weak economy? You supported them getting rid of the need for environmental reviews related to natural resource extraction so that O&G companies could take our stuff and maybe face a weak punishment in the future? Did you also support when Trump first attacked Iran and within hours he said “Canada will unconditionally support the US”? How about how he still won’t call the genocide in Gaza what it is?
