This is the more likely scenario for people who think they never had COVID. Unfortunately, from my understanding, even if asymptomatic you can still have lasting effects. Lovely, isn’t it.

I had a homemade edible once and was explicitly told to take only half because it was strong. It had 0 effect. Years later I visited Amsterdam and decided to try again. The guy told me to only take a quarter for starters. I followed the instructions, but again felt nothing, so I ended up eating over half. Well, this time it actually did work. Awful experience. I was blacking out, super paranoid, super nauseous and dizzy. 0/10 would not do again, lol.
No. I’m very sensitive to criticism and I lose motivation easily (with a host of other things — suspected ADHD I’m postponing getting tested for). I require a lot of external validation and pressure to function beyond bare minimum.
Have you tried Page 5? Yeah, it’s full of unrelated shit. It looks like Pages 1 and 2 are all that the entire internet has on that thing, probably.
This is so real. You’re lucky if you even get anything useful on page 1, but anything beyond it is completely useless, unrelated stuff. And it isn’t just Google.

In all seriousness, I know a grandma who narrowly escaped a couple adults who wanted to eat her as a child during the siege of Leningrad. To this day she refuses to waste any food.
I had a teacher who liked my writing, always left an encouraging comment and said I made her laugh. Then I came to high school and my new teacher graded me lower because she thought my writing wasn’t good. She made another classmate read his work that she liked. It wasn’t good or anything special. It still made me lose all motivation for writing. Sucks when you’re the type of person who relies heavily on external validation.

This is what I use my Karakeep instance for haha

The way MacOS has been explained to me is “you pay for it to just work”, I.e. no random driver issues after an OS update or stuff breaking. I’ve never used it and I can’t stand Apple, but I understand why people who need it for work prefer it over Windows or Linux. Windows has been particularly bad with updates breaking the most basic shit and producing bizarre bugs, and I genuinely wish I didn’t have to use it for work. My Fedora has unironically been more stable and consistent than Windows.

I use an air compressor to clean out my personal keyboard. Good reminder to do it at work tomorrow for my work one, too.

Japanese English textbooks can be very wrong, very hilarious and very strange at times, so who knows.

I’m sorry to disappoint.

Where I live far-right politicians blame natural disasters caused by climate change on the (non-white) immigrants. While simultaneously denying climate change.

I deployed several docker containers using an image from this one guy. Later when I needed help with an image I realized the support is provided exclusively through a Discord server. To nobody’s surprise the guy is an asshole who shouldn’t interact with users.

Same. I got blackout drunk twice in my life, the second time I spent most of the next day in the ER because I couldn’t even keep water down. The older I got, the less I could tolerate alcohol, to the point I would get sick and vomit before I could get to the point of blackout. I very rarely drink anymore now and it’s only one drink at the time at most.
Yeah, I get the guilt. I, too, had it when I was unemplyoed and wasn’t financially independent.
I know a few stay at home partners/spouses and all act the same: highly demanding and think they’re better than everyone else because their partners are high earners despite never achieving anything in life. That’s why it personally gives me the ick. Kudos to anyone who is in that situation, but doesn’t act entitled.
How do people feel about stay at home spouses without kids? Is that something that is generally frowned upon?

Counter question. Care to explain how this would work on global scale? For instance, how would travelling for leisure work?

I don’t know where you’re from, but the title sounds like such a German thing to do 😂
For me the only thing I look in new phones now is camera quality, since I only take photos and video with my phone. If that was upgradeable, it would be awesome. Plus, now even Android is getting the Apple treatment this year, everything is just getting shittier.
