So I took a look at the PCB and the D+ and D- are going to one of the micro controllers, I’m going to do some data sniffing with the o-scope and see if there is anything happening. I’d like to figure out how to do CAT control. If that don’t pan out I will try the head unit extension port and see what I can find there.

Just to avoid confusion what @DarrinBrunner refered to as top-down view I refered to as lens on view. But Darrin is correct it shows depth of field.

ULA = Unique Local Address, non routable address scheme in IPv6 for use in local networks

SLAAC = Stateless Address Autoconfiguration, a process in IPv6 that allows a host to assign itself an unique IP by listening to other traffic to determine the network ID and then creating the host ID

ICMP = Internet Control Message Protocol, these a specific messages that allow for higher coordination and control rather that data exchange, like ping or dhcp.

ISP = Internet Service Provider, the company that provides your internet acccess like Comcast, Google Fiber, AT&T, etc.

in the top down picture the ring closest to the body marked 3.5 to 22 is the apature and the other is the shutter speed in fraction of sec. with B for “Bulb” ( shutter stays open as long as the release is pressed)

The lens on picture the outer ring is the apature and inner ring is the focal length, I assume in meters because you said it was from Germany.

It’s A T41, not really a kit per sae you have to source all the parts yourself although I did buy the blank PCB set. The QRP group did sell a kit a couple of years ago but it long since sold out. The guys that designed it have a book on SDR/SDT on Amazon and I picked it up to learn more then I started building it, that was a few years ago but I’m very slowly plugging away at it.

I like it, I’d give it a try but currently only have a 2m, 220, 440 rig. I’m builing a SDR QRP HF all band but FAR from being done with it due to the same constraints you’ve expressed with contests. Hope its a successful contest, looking forward to it if / when I ever get my rig built. i got the RF amp board done and am working on the LPF board now, winding the chokes is a pain.
