VANCE He has this command : Place. Which is basically, I snap my finger and point. He will run to that place and lay down.
INTERVIEWER You don’t have to zap him? like Hasan
VANCE Like Hasan Piker? No
both laughing uncontrollably
INTERVIEWER Wasn’t that disgusting?
VANCE There’s no electrocution of dogs here.
INTERVIEWER How disgusting is that? What does it tell you about a person?
VANCE I think it tells you that they’re bad people. … If you mistreat dogs, that’s almost a 100% sign that you’re a going to be a really terrible person.

Do you think the e in ecolloar stands for electric shock or something?
top search result for ecollar: https://www.ecollar.com/categories/pet-yard-e-collars/
Those electrical contacts sticking into the neck are to deliver electrical “stimulation”. But yeah hasan did not afaik endorse them, only the vibrating/noisemaking kind
The second page has their vibration only model.
yeah, I’m assuming thats what hasan has, I don’t really care, I’m just saying the term e collars does include shock collars. The LSF links flying around are wild
Okay, but why does Hasan need to fully distinguish these things in all of his various clipped segments of his hours-long streams? I’m not sure what your point is.
He doesn’t need to, the clips are 99% bullshit as fuck. I don’t care about Hasan at this point, I’m responding solely to the comment “Do you think the e in ecolloar stands for electric shock or something? :jesse-wtf:”. which, to me, implied that the term ecollar did not include shock collars.
No it means electronic collar, which I think was their meaning.
Disciplining an animal, or a child, with pain or fear, is cruel, barbaric, and doesn’t even work.
Right so it’s interesting that his dog seems to be very responsive to his commands indicating that he doesn’t rely on the collar (vibration or not) or negative stimulus in her training.

Why are you linking to the Destiny brigade subreddit? In case you didn’t know LSF is a mass harassment and cyberstalking operation used as a front by Destiny aligned reactionaries and pedo apologists

Do you understand the concept of negative priming? Hasan did not shock his dog, you believe he did because you were already primed to believe it before you even saw the clip, by those same zionist genocide freaks, the content of the clip doesn’t show what you believe it shows, which is why when it happened live in front of 35,000 people, nobody batted an eye. Notice how it never occurred to you that Hasan was talking about vibrating collars, not shock collars, despite both of them falling under the category of ‘ecollar’
LSF is the origin of every major smear campaign against Hasan, they’ve openly used video editing, clip-chimping and like I said negative priming to spin delusional and easily debunked narratives in an attempt to deplatform Hasan, that sub is a base camp for pedos and irl stalkers and you fell for the grift

No he didn’t and that’s not how vibration collars work, you’re just describing a variation of shock collar that Hasan has never used and pretending he was referring to those brands, he wasn’t and he made that clear multiple times and it was made more obvious when he showed the collar off, which was clearly not a shock collar of ANY kind
The man reached offscreen for some fuckin Zyns at the same time his dog randomly yelped, likely her getting a dewclaw caught on something or putting bad weight on an ankle, something dogs do all the time
35,000 people saw it live and didn’t comment, because it was obvious nothing happened, which is why the Destiny fueled conspiracy about a big shock button offscreen is obvious nonsense
I watched the clip there was no yelp. BAD HASBARA
lol
I’m not sure what your point is but uncritically linking to LSF is a recipe for misinformation.

Why are you pessimistically speculating? No, he just says, “place”, sometimes a few times, sometimes once, and she goes there because she is well-trained.
Why do you think it is more reasonable to assume the Destiny harassment subreddit is more on the ball than us?

it feels kinda like you started from a position (either not liking hasan for other reasons or misleading clips on fash subs) and worked backwards. Using clips cut by reactionaries as primary sources on what his opinion is is whack.
I think if you looked at see he isn’t forcing her to stay on the bed. “Place” is said specifically when she comes and tries to lay down somewhere else in the room on the hard floors but like once a stream most days she gets up and goes off camera (presumably to another room or to be with his family?) for an extended period and he doesn’t do anything about that. But if she’s going to just be laying in the room with him (which she seems to want to be with him, which is pretty normal), she has to be on the bed… Which lines up with what he’s said the whole time.
I don’t even like hasan much these days but I reallly need to stop hearing about this in particular.
He only “defends” shock collars in that he says they are not illegal and are pretty normalized in the US. He doesn’t make a value judgement about them. It’s valid to disagree with that but it’s not a reflection of what he does with his own dog, which he’s said and appears to be just a vibrating collar for outdoor off-leash use. Maybe, if we are to give malicious clips way too much credit, he could have used it indoors to reinforce the place training, I don’t know if that’s perfect dog training practice, but it’s not animal cruelty, IMO
I think you underestimate how inconsistent people are re: pets and veganism.
That is a big ass dog at high risk of hip dysplasia, she does in fact need to stay in her bed so she doesn’t develop a habit of resting on hardwood floors which would destroy her joints and hip, he’s being perfectly responsible
And he uses commands to get her to stay on her bed, not the vibrating collar he uses for outdoor activities

You need better sources then, it’s a well known problem with large dogs like Mastiffs, heavy dogs on hard surfaces can lead to them placing significant weight on their joints and hips
You know what works better than a carpet; A Bed

Except you didn’t, you just posted a random excerpt vaguely describing the effects of exercise on Boxers that in the next sentence admitted housing conditions were not part of the study…frankly the excerpt is the scientific equivalent of a ‘shrug’
Kaya is a heavier breed and Hasan spent a small fortune getting her the best trainers and himself the best advice for her breed
It’s for potential joint issues, actually. And it was recommended by either a vet or trainer and I don’t really care enough about splitting that hair to go look it up. A trampoline bed/cot is softer than the floor and often recommended for pets.

It was.
the hair splitting in question was “did a vet or a trainer give the dog bed advice?”, not “does hard flooring affect hip dysplasia?”
you chose your screenname pretty wisely, huh
This is completely disconnected from what he says and what we have any evidence for. The point of vibrating collars isn’t to torture the animal, but to give them a fast and unambiguous signal at any distance that you have conditioned them to associate with a particular command or set of commands (e.g. “come to your owner,” “pay attention to your owner,” “stop being aggressive”). Kaya is left off-leash outside a lot and it’s reasonable to have something like a vibration collar for communicating in a fast and unambiguous manner with your dog over distance. It’s not “this thing is shaking and it will continue to overstimulate you until you submit” it’s basically just like a vibrating phone or something acting as an alert by momentarily providing a stimulus.
He has Kaya stay on the bed most of the time when there happens to not be other people in the house to watch her out of concern for her joints. She’ll be off-camera somewhere else in the house for long stretches of time when there are other people around to watch her.
He has carpets, but the floor is still harder than what is ideal for a big dog to sleep on. You’ll notice that she has a suspension bed for this reason.
